I decided to create a new series of short videos. They will feature some quick how-tos in the kitchen to make your everyday cooking and baking exploits run a little more smoothly.

Since this site was born out of getting crafty with few ingredients and gadgets available to me, you could say that I’ve picked up a few things along the way! Even though I’ve been back in the U.S. for a few years now and have nothing but stuff and more stuff available at every store and website, I like to think I haven’t lost that simplicity. I like things quick and easy, just like all of you, and preferably taking up less space on my countertop or causing me to wash a million dishes. But I still want my food to taste gooooood. So here you go. First up, how to make a ch-ch-ch-chia egg.

(Quick side note: Regarding those tutorials that tell you to just mix the seeds with water and let them sit…eh, they’re ok. In my experience, it just creates a gloppy mess that doesn’t actually hold together very well. Blending the seeds will give you a much smoother egg-like texture.)

Take a look!
